Leave it to Beaver

Well...
we have a sitter who will come to the house for our big baby, Sunbird ... he's our 12 yr old Catalina McCaw. Quite spoiled I'd say.

We're outta here tomorrow morning .... escaping the triple digit heat!

Heading up to Beaver ~ in attempts to get a septic tank permit,

so we can get a building permit,

so we can get bids on our plans,

so we can start building this gosh darn cabin, before winter, that we were planning to build in 8 years,

so we can keep our "like gold" water rights that we can lose if we don't have a main residence started by next summer,

so we can use that expensive 700' drinking well we drilled 4 years ago!!

Whew..... we're only getting started in this venture and
I hope I can get thru it all without having a stress stroke/heart attack.

I can say that we've only just begun ... and it's true .... building is a nightmare.

Glad you are able to get away and be constructive at the same time! I hope you can get it all done so you can take advantage of the work you've already done... good luck!

Escape the triple digit heat while you can! Sounds like a lot but try not to stress too much. Take time to smell the roses, carnations, or something that smells good. Sometimes taking a second to yourself is always a good thing.

Wow, that's just complicated. Water rights? Well? I'm going to go and be thankful for that city water I enjoy.

Good luck with all that. Any home improvemeny (or any project) that involves the state, county, and/or city government has the potential to be a pain in the ass. Being comfortable with that up front is what makes the process go easier. Looking forward to pictures and updates.
