My friend had twins that were preemies and I remember seeing them with all the tubes and wires...it was traumatic for me..and I wasn't their mother!
She told me that a NICU nurse tried to console her one day, as she sobbed over her son's incubator. She told her, "You know...he will never remember ANY of this!' To which my friend responded, " I know...but I will NEVER be able to forget!"
It is amazing how far he has come!
