I should re~name my blog to Beaver Blog Cabin!
Not much else going on here ... other than this cabin. Mike is LOVING his new position!!
I am finally getting into shape for summer. I have been a complete failure at getting rid of these last 15lbs from my weight gain from having Matthew ... I have been doing Weight Watchers at home and I'm beginning to make "running/walking at an incline on the treadmill" a daily activity. I am weird... I go thru spurts..... some weeks I am good... some weeks I am bad... but it has become painfully clear that I need to run/walk on my treadmill several times a week to jump start that metabolism! When you're home all day long, it's hard to keep out of the refrigerator/cabinets!! I want to be skinny for summer and I want some cute clothes!!

Beaver Blog Cabin ~ Thursday
The roof over Matthew's room taking shape. Get ready for the next amazing picture!!
The making of the "witch's hat" ~ look how high they are! This is over Matthew's room and the kitchen area. I believe those big beams are somewhere between 500 and 600 pounds each

Ho Hum
Not much going on here... just the same ole same ole. Now, I'm NOT complaining about same ole same ole ... especially since I know how life can be! I'll take "same ole" anytime.
Mike is in Beaver working on the cabin. I do have a few pictures I can put up. He'll be home this Friday. He starts his new position as Sergeant this Saturday. I'm excited for him, but I'm a little nervous ~ he's not going to be in the greatest part of town. He reminds me that no part of town is really that safe, criminals are everywhere.
Matthew is doing much better ~ we had a real tough February. Thank goodness it's over!
He's starting to imitate me ~ he can say: Amie, hammer, Elmo, Nemo, earring, NO, and ba ba for robot. :-) I am thrilled.
I hope all is well with you guys. I NEED TO GET AROUND FOR A VISIT.

Beaver Blog Cabin
There will be a "witch's hat" over the octagonal section of the house. We've decided on a basic hunter green roof b/c we have a hunter green steel building across the way.

Matthew still feeling under the weather. Heck, I'm still feeling under the weather! This has actually been pretty miserable for both of us.

Beaver blog cabin pics and more :-)
Mike sent me these tongue and groove pics a few minutes ago. This is the front entry room area.
The T&G in this picture is over the great room.
This is the front entry. The mudroom will have it's own roofline... and the entry area will have an "A" frame entry.
Mike just left for Beaver. He missed going during his last three days off *pouts* because he was scheduled to go to court for a trial ~ but then the trial was cancelled at the very last minute. GAH! I guess it worked out for the best because he ended up being sick. The boys will be busy for the next three days "making tongue and groove history" as Tim says. The "busy Beaver builders" are looking forward to getting a lot done, weather permitting. It's been crazy snowy and windy the past few weeks.
Matthew and I stayed behind because we are both sick. Matthew is on antibiotics again, poor little fella. It's been a tough month for him. He just can't fight off illnesses very well.
You can see the tongue and groove being started. Look at that snow! We'd much rather have snow than rain, that's for sure!

Winter Wonderland
Are these pictures blurry to you, or are they mine eyes? Not getting much done up there... other than shoveling snow. Mike tried to work in it yesterday, but it was snowing so much, his toolbox was filling w/ snow.
The neibs front deck.
Check out Tim's chainsaw work on the gables! He is awesome.
