I can relate to this, for when I was 18 thought my dad (42 at the time) was dumbest OLD man I had ever met ,so I joined the ARMY. The 3 years I was gone he must have went to night school. He was a lot brighter bulb when I got home
Where was this sign when my kids were teenagers????
Actually, all my teenagers had jobs and were good kids. I missed them when they left home. Even my son knew how to cook, wash & iron. He use to call me the SGT. when he was home; that changed when he went into the Army at age 17. I looked pretty darn "mild" after that.
I think all teenagers should do 3 years in the service. It certainly would decrease their "expectations". Don't you agree? grandma wright

My father used to tell me something similar to that frequently when I was a teenager.
