Yummmy... this is a German Apple Pancake
I made this for the boys the other morning before they went to work on the cabin.
It's a recipe my grandmother gave us when we were little kids. It's almost like a dessert!!
All you need is an iron skillet... 3 apples, butter, cinnamon, brown sugar, eggs, flour, vanilla, milk.
I used my Pampered Chef apple slicer peeler corer to slice the apples up in a jiffy.
Let me know if you want the recipe and directions. Actually, I just put the recipe down in my comment box.

Okay - you can't post that yummy photo without giving us the recipe!LOL! That looks sinful!
Okay....slice and core 3 apples (I used my Pampered Chef apple slicer, corer, peeler ~ I was done in a only a few minutes)
saute in an 8 inch iron pan w/ lots of butter, cinnamon and a little bit of sugar.
while sauteing ...
mix 3 eggs in a bowl, add 1/2 cup of milk, 1/2 cup flour, few tablespoons of sugar, 1-2 tsp vanilla, dash of salt.
pour over the sauteed apples, pop in a 500 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
pull out, add a bunch of little dabs of butter, spread over top ... sprinkle brown sugar on top of that...
pop back in over for a couple more minutes... it will get all bubbly and ... ummm..... done!
as i was putting butter on top.. i kind of got butter to go down the sides of pan on the inside too....
cut into slices and use a pie server .... serve w/ powdered sugar on top if you want.... that's how I like it....
it is sooo dang good and very simple to make.... didn't take long at all!!
Okay, I will have to make this for my husband, as soon as I can think of something I want to ask him to do for me. :D
Terri, I need to ask you "how do you stay so thin?" With all these goodies, I would look like a house.
This is a delicious breakfast or lunch.
Mom, you are so sweet..
you know I'm not "thin"... I still need to lose 20lbs..
I do have a hard time losing b/c I am cooking all this good stuff..
and I am addicted to the Food Network... they have such great ideas!
I have the same question as your mom!!!! AND lord that looks yummy. But, here's my problem: I'd make it and eat the whole damn thing. =/ My boys aren't big dessert eaters.....ugh.....I'm always takin one for the team. ;)
O.K., Terri Girl! I have the recipe copied, pasted and ready for my holiday company!! Yummy, yummy!
Wow, I think I gained a couple pounds just looking at it. Yum!
