The roof over Matthew's room taking shape. Get ready for the next amazing picture!!
The making of the "witch's hat" ~ look how high they are! This is over Matthew's room and the kitchen area. I believe those big beams are somewhere between 500 and 600 pounds each
If you look close, you can see the beams that make the "witch's hat".
Timmy working his "chain saw magic" ~ this guy in incredible w/ the chain saw!
Look at those precision cuts on those logs! Tim is the man!!
Because of the precise cutting and complicated angles on these beams ~ each beam took an entire day.
See that little orange thing hanging on the scaffolding ~ that is what they use to hoist up a beam.

Wow! Awesome!
that is so cool, i'm going to go chop something up with my chainsaw when i get home.. i'll make sure the dog is inside
These are wonderful, incredible pictures for the scrapebook. This doesn't meet my criteria for a "little cabin". Mike says it is even "bigger" in real time. Ha ha
The cabin looks great. Wow, it sure is BIG! Don't worry about Mike as a Sergeant - his new job will be to make sure everyone else is doing their job!
I love to watch things being built. What a talent. You will have such fun decorating.

Right Truth
I have never watched someone else's home being built with such anticipation of the finished result!!! I am in awe of all the work involved with a log cabin! And the fact that they are doing it all in the freezing cold!
Terri Girl! When you first started talking about a "cabin" in Beaver, who would have ever dreamed of this???
Can't wait to see it completed. What fun you're going to have furnishing and decorating!!
Mike just sent me a couple more really cool pics...
just wait till you see the most intricate cuts they are having to make... you would really have to see these beams in real life to appreciate what they cutting...
Thanks for all the fun comments...
this is such an exciting time for us... we are just beside ourselves w/ thrill!!
Terri
