Off to Beaver this morning
Have a great week. I won't be watching the news, but I will listen to Rush, Glenn, Laura and Sean on talk radio to keep up. I'll be home Thursday morning.
My son's wonderful partner, Joel was admitted into hospital on Friday night w/ a blood clot in his kidney. He's only 27 and this is all very odd to be happening to a youngster. My BIL said that in 30 years of medicine, he hasn't seen this. The doc at the imaging center said he has not seen this either... basically, Joel had a heart attack in his kidney.
Of course since this happened on a Friday night... he's just hanging out in hospital on morphine. Hopefully we'll know soon what is going on. His mom drove down from the Reno area yesterday.
(and yes, I am feeling totally guilty leaving town while he is in hospital... *sigh*... but I am only a couple hours away if I have to come back. My son, his mom and all his friends are there.... but I still feel guilty. Mike is insisting that I go b/c I haven't been up since Thanksgiving and we won't be going next week.)
Please say a little prayer for my buddy.

11 strong people talking:
I will pray for him his family as well as yours.
Oh.. I just thought of something that makes me feel better...
I wouldn't be able to go into the hospital w/ Matthew anyway..
so it's okay that I go to Beaver...
I hope you have a nice relaxing time in Beaver. I will be praying - please keep us posted!
Prayers for Joel! I think you deserve a break at Beaver. Relax and enjoy yourself.
Wow, what an awful thing to happen. My thoughts and prayers with your friend as well.
Have fun in Beaver.
That is certainly a weird thing to happen to him!
I hope he makes a speedy recovery and you get to have a wonderul break in Beaver.
P.S. I'm fine, thanks for asking!
A heart attack in his kidney!? Wow!
I sure hope he will be okay and that he feels better soon. We will keep him and your son in our prayers. That is hard to see someone you love hurting and not be able to do anything.
Relax in Beaver and don't listen to or watch the news. It'll be on the internet when you get back and be just as scary;)
I sure hope you get really nice weather, too.
He has my prayer out for him. I wish him well. That must be extremely painful.
Joel is still in the hospital undergoing tests. He is still in a lot of pain. The bloodclot is still there and they are checking to see where it came from. Please continue to pray for this wonderful young man.
Terri made it to Beaver and was thrilled with the cabin. Matthew called me last night and jabbered on for the longest time. I heard him say, "wanna see dramma". That made my day.
Either get you a computer to use at Beaver or stay home!;)) We miss you...
I certainly hope that they can fix it. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Enjoy Beaver.
